18 days in Africa

We recently returned from almost three weeks on the beautiful continent of Africa. From South Africa to Uganda, we had the wonderful privilege of ministering in churches dear to our heart and encouraging leaders from different regions, who are pouring their lives out for the sake of the gospel. Greg was able to take a team with him and together they got to preach the powerful gospel of grace to over 800 pastors in Uganda. Our generous Northlands family sowed good seed as their generosity made a way for this leadership summit to happen. Many of the leaders who don’t eat more than one meal a day, were able to enjoy three good meals. Lives were transformed as many received prayer for healing and provision. The leaders were given a week of physical and spiritual nourishment. We remain so proud of Pastor Daniel and Erica Kwagga who lead this ministry and have poured their lives out to see the gospel preached in their nation. It is a joy to partner with them as a church and as friends, to hold up their arms and strengthen them and cheer them on as they lead and influence hundreds of pastors and congregations.

We loved seeing the freedom and passion of God’s people in worship as we ministered together in multiple South African churches. It was and added delight to see those we haven’t connected with for over twenty years, thriving in their walk with the Lord.

On a personal level, it was good to spend time catching up with family and friends of many years. I was thankful to have time with my aging parents. Each visit holds the possibility of being the last, so I treasure the gift of time with them.

We returned with full hearts and tremendous gratitude for the honor of going and the joy of returning home to our Northlands family. The nations are beautiful and we look forward to going again, to sowing into different nations as God leads. America, thank you for being one of the most generous people we know. Your generosity continues to allow many to thrive and hear about God’s extravagant, life-changing grace.
