Filling My ‘Think’ Tank
There is more and more scientific proof of the incredible power that our minds have to affect our lives and yet so often we neglect taking control of how we think. As believers we don’t just empty our minds of negative thinking but we choose to fill our minds with the Truth of Gods Word.
The Bible tells us that we are transformed by the renewing of our mind. Our minds are renewed when we soak them in Truth. It is more than just a casual thought, but a deliberate decision to focus on the Truth rather than my negative feelings. We may experience very real fear and yet we can remind ourselves in these moments that our Heavenly Father says to us in His word, “Fear not for I am with you.”
The word tells us that we will walk in peace when our minds are turned towards Him. We may lose someone dear to us either through death or even a broken relationship and feel terribly lonely or even betrayed, and yet we know that our God promises to never leave us or forsake us.
Let me encourage you to dig deep into the living word of God and make every effort to align your thoughts with the Truth that will not only sustain and strengthen you, but will transform your very life.
Let’s take time this week to deliberately soak our minds in Truth. Stop imitating the ideals and opinions of the culture around you, but be inwardly transformed by the Holy Spirit through a total reformation of how you think. This will empower you to discern God’s will as you live a beautiful life, satisfying and perfect in his eyes.
Romans 12:2 TPT “Fear not [there is nothing to fear], for I am with you; do not look around you in terror and be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen and harden you to difficulties, yes, I will help you; yes, I will hold you up and retain you with My [victorious] right hand of rightness and justice."
