Hidden in a restful place
“When you sit enthroned under the shadow of Shaddai, you are hidden in the strength of God Most High. He’s the hope that holds me and the Stronghold to shelter me, the only God for me, and my great confidence.”Psalms 91:1-2 TPT
This is one of my favorite psalms and a place I often myself drawing strength from. Sometimes I will close my eyes and picture myself being hidden underneath this huge wing where I’m completely protected from all danger or any arrows the enemy might throw at me.
The exciting thing is that this is not just an imagination but a very real truth. Our heavenly Father invites us to hide in His strength, to find rest under the shadow of His wing. He is the One who shelters us when the storms of life come. He provides peace and hope amidst our battles and restores our hope when we become discouraged. He truly is our great confidence.
If you feel like life is coming at you like a giant wave or you’re in the middle of a tough battle, I want to remind you again that there is a place of shelter and rest and protection for you. You are hidden in the strength of God Most High.Take a minute, close your eyes and picture yourself hidden away under his wing. Feel the safety of His Presence & strength as he wraps his arms of faithfulness around you, his beloved child. Then hear him say this to you:
“I will answer your cry for help every time you pray, and you will find and feel my presence even in your time of pressure and trouble. I will be your glorious hero and give you a feast. You will be satisfied with a full life and with all that I do for you. For you will enjoy the fullness of my salvation!””Psalms 91:15-16 TPT
